This policy explains how LookFoundMe (“we”) handles personal data when you use lookfoundme.com and our apps (the “Platform”) in the United Kingdom. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We never ask for your name, phone, postal address or payment details. Purchases happen on the store’s own website.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
- Providing your account, favourites and notifications — performance of a contract.
- Security, fraud prevention and fixing errors — legitimate interests.
- Measuring and improving search — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie preferences.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We use these service providers:

Transfers outside the UK are protected by appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data, favourites and notifications: while your account exists; deleted immediately when you delete your account.
- Usage statistics: up to 2 years, then deleted automatically.
- Server and security logs: as required by law.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account and all related data yourself with “Delete my account” in the account menu. For other requests email hello@lookfoundme.com — we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Children
Accounts are for people aged 18 and over.
